Neural Fibrolipoma

Neural fibrolipomas are tumors composed of fibro-fatty tissue. They usually occur along nerves and often leads to painful nerve compression. Due to the pain of these types of lipomas, doctors usually recommend that they be removed through surgery.

Neural fibrolipomas are sometimes mislabeled as neurofibromatosis, which is a serious and life-threatening condition. See common misdiagnoses of lipomas.
